Meet the Owners
Owners Naveen and Brandi met in 2016 at Yoga80. The quickly found life long partners in each other - compatible and complimentary in all of the right ways. One year into their relationship, they began exploring the possibility of opening a studio together. Root + Flow Studio is the manifestation of this dream. Brandi's passion for yoga and movement mixed with Naveen's attention to detail set into motion this haven for yoga, movement, and community.

Brandi, eRYT 500
Brandi began her yoga journey in 2010, under the tutelage of Reegan Leslie, in San Diego, California. After taking her first 200 hour teacher training in 2011, she immediately fell in love with teaching. She continued on to take a 500 hour teacher training with Erika Faith of Cloud Nine Yoga. She believes that movement is a powerful catalyst for healing the mind, body, and spirit. As a yoga and movement teacher, she creates and holds space for her students to develop body awareness and ultimately connection to self. Her one-of-a-kind classes are interwoven with elements of flowing vinyasa and somatic movement. She encourages her students to find freedom of movement, playfulness, and self-expression. Aside from creating Root + Flow Studio, Brandi is currently pursuing her master's degree in clinical psychology.

Naveen
As a first generation Indian American, Naveen was introduced to the spiritual ideologies of yoga from an early age as part of his upbringing. He began exploring asana as a way to remain centered and balanced while studying computer science at Northwestern University. After becoming a student at Yoga80 under the guidance of Reegan Leslie and the teachers of that studio, Naveen was to combine his cultural philosophy with his asana practice to develop and actively continue a deep
personal relationship with his mind, body, and spirituality. Naveen is not a yoga teacher but it is his dream for Root + Flow to be an accessible community for individuals from all walks of life to unite and explore their practices with the teachers and community leaders they will find at the studio.
