I have been practicing yoga for many years and have dabbled in many forms of yoga from the traditional to the emerging. I'm the type of student who hops around from studio to studio because I follow teachers, not studios. Therefore, I have never found a studio to call "home" ... until now. I have been practicing yoga at Root + Flow (specializing in yoga and movement) since they opened in December and I was instantly impressed by the quality of their teachers. I have yet to take a class I do not like. There is something for everyone here, from yin (yin and restorative) to yang (Vinyasa 3) and even something more (they have great workshops and offer YTT too!). When COVID-19 forced many businesses to close their doors, Root + Flow immediately started hosting classes online, making sure their students could continue their yoga practice when they needed it most. They are one of the few studios that still maintains a full class schedule comparable to their original in-person class schedule! The studio has only been open for 5 months but during that short time, I have seen it endure adversity and weather challenges in a way that inspires me to do the same, which is what yoga is all about. I can't wait until the studio opens again so they can continue their journey and fulfill the other half of their mission to offer "movement" classes such as dance flow yoga, rope wall yoga, and qi gong. Lastly, in addition to having great teachers, the Root + Flow studio itself is a very inviting and warm space. I have practiced at this same space during its 2 previous incarnations and I can say that Brandi really transformed the space into a place that one can call "hOMe". Thank you Brandi and Naveen!
What a wonderful space to focus on your yoga practice. Brandi has created an atmosphere that allows you to feel rooted in your own skills while elevating your flow to reach for whatever level you choose. The teachers provide alternatives to accommodate whatever skill set or physical constraints are relevant to your practice.
